Success story: Duke
Labrador Retriever Rescue has made many successful placements since we started in 1988. The following is feedback from the family who surrendered their Lab to us and from the family who adopted him.
From a family after their Lab, Duke, was placed by LRR:

We are overwhelmed to have been given the opportunity to have such a magnificent animal come and live with us. At first impression is his size and beautiful black coat—then to experience his gentle and obedient personality is to be coaxed into his world—a world of playfulness, fantastic body-language communication and exuberant appetite. Knowing that Duke's separation from his original family had to be traumatic for everyone concerned—we decided to smother Duke with lots of love and affection. Duke has brought us a deep feeling of joy—now we have something to fuss over on a daily basis. Our thanks to the original family and to the Labrador Retriever Rescue people which includes the officials of the organization, those who interviewed prospective adopters and the foster home providers.
